This morning, we had a great workout at the track! The snow has pretty much all melted. There was about an inch of snow for about 50 meters on the back straight away and another 20 meters on the far curve. It wasn’t too much of an inconvenience and provided a nice excuse to explain our slower than normal times.
Ben, our outreach coordinator, continues to do a good job recruiting more Crawlers, as we met Andy who was also running on the track.
We’ve heard that it’s still a bit unpredictable on whether the track will always be open at 6:30. But it was this week, and we’ll try again next week.
Also, anyone interested in a long run this Saturday?
DUE TO THE WEATHER, THIS WEEKS WORKOUT WILL BE CANCELED!
Hopefully, we’ll see you next Thursday!
Another storm is coming, but hopefully the roads may be clear by Thursday.
How about we meet at Cardozo high school at 6:30. Cardozo is located on 13th Street about 5 blocks north of U Street.
Also, we’re hoping to have a gathering at Gordon Bierch that evening around 7 PM. It would be great if you could make it.
Future events on my radar screen include:
1) Crawler Holiday invitational/relays on February 25th
2) St. Patty’s Day 8k – March 14th
Because the track will probably be covered, we will be meeting at the Chipotle in Woodley Park for a fartlek run – probably through the zoo!
We hope you can make it!
