After a week off due to the snow storm, please join the Cardozo Crawlers at Bannecker Track tomorrow morning (1/29/14) at 6:30 a.m. for Yasso 800’s. Sounds like a funny name, but it’s a great way to predict your spring marathon times.
Basically, if you’re trying to run a 3:30 marathon, you’d run a 3 minute and 30 second 800 with equal rest. We’ll repeat this 6-8 times and will structure the workout around your specific needs. Read more about Yasso 800’s here

Many thanks to our friends from the Washington Running Club who worked very hard to put together this amazing event! It’s sure to be an inspirational evening.
Hope to see you there!
Last week, six runners braved single digit temps and turned out some pretty great 800m repeats.
This week, let’s head back to Bannecker track at 6:30 a.m. for a mix of hills and 400’s. It should be a nice morning for some strength and speed work!
See you out there!
On the morning of January 8, 2014, six brave souls headed to the track for 800m repeats in what felt like 7 degrees. All survived and are much stronger – mentally and physically – for getting through a tough workout in even tougher conditions. Way to go, guys!
It’s freezing here in DC as with most of the United States. For those of you who braved a run in these frigid temps – wow! For the rest of us, we can make up those missed miles with 800m repeats tomorrow, January 7 at 6:30 a.m. at Bannecker Track. Hope to see you there!
This past Saturday, we had a wonderful evening at Jeff’s celebrating another year of running and friendship with the Crawlers. We were met with delicious food and some really nice gifts from the White Elephant including craft beer, deep massage tools, gift certificates, and hand warmers (those would come in handy on a day like today!). Thanks, Jeff, for hosting such a great event!
